David Ledford, Leed AP, ASCE, CPC – Project Manager/Preconstruction/Safety Director

David Ledford is a senior construction and engineering manager with 25 years of leadership and experience in the development and construction market. His career has involved all aspects of construction and development including engineering, construction management, and on site supervision in the delivery of heavy civil, office, industrial, bulk distribution, restoration, and most recently renewable energy projects. Mr. Ledford has managed projects across the southeast in a variety of delivery methods including construction management, design build, bid projects, and self performing contracts.
Mr. Ledford grew up in Canton, Ga. He attended Southern Technical Institute studying Information Systems Technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, both with an emphasis in environmental engineering. He completed his education after many years into his business career. He also completed the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) program from Georgia Tech and is accredited by, and an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Mr. Ledford has advanced through the construction industry holding positions that range from site field engineer to project management. Following the hurricane Andrew disaster in south Florida, he led a construction team to aid in the clean up and rebuilding efforts. In 1993 he joined the Weeks Corporation/Weeks Construction Services a highly regarded publicly held Atlanta, Georgia based Real Estate Investment Trust (R.E.I.T). During his career at Weeks he was involved in all aspects of development and construction including project design, overall project proforma, scheduling, cost analysis, cost projections, construction management, onsite supervision, project closeout, and property management. Projects included heavy civil packages, large distribution facilities of 1 million plus square feet, class A office, and industrial construction of Weeks owned and third party buildings. With projects totaling over 300 million in volume Mr. Ledford had direct management of development and construction for clients which included Mrs. Smiths Corp., Rooms to Go, Best Buy, Yokohama, GE, Equifax, ICON Office Solutions, and Technology Park Atlanta.
Following the purchase of Weeks Corp. by Duke Realty, Mr. Ledford formed Jarvco Consulting Inc. Utilizing all aspects of his development and construction career he assisted clients through all phases of projects including: real estate acquisition, rezoning/variance applications and hearings, environmental studies, finance options, delivery methods, project proforma, construction management, and quality control. His services were utilized by lending institutions for feasibility studies, overall project analysis and progress funding inspections.
Most recently, Mr. Ledford has joined Fischer Consulting and Management, Inc. and Fischer Contractors, LLC to use his years of diverse experience and education in the solar energy market. Projects include ground and roof mounted PV solar arrays and roof mounted thermal systems. He has quickly become an expert on a variety of racking systems and installation methods with over 6 MW of PV installed. To further improve his knowledge of the industry, Mr. Ledford has completed continuing education of over 40 hours of solar courses with Solairgen (PV-203). Mr. Ledford is also Leed AP certified, has certificates for OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training, OSHA Fall Protection Training, Fork Lift Operator, Aerial Work Platform Operator, Skid Steer Operator, Back Hoe Operator, Scaffolding, and is First Aid and CPR certified.
Among his many interests, Mr. Ledford enjoys golf, fly fishing, Crossfit and triathlons. Mr. Ledford enjoys spending time with his family and resides in Canton, GA with his wife and daughter.
