Fischer-Web1David Fischer is a senior construction and engineering executive with over 25 years of diversified leadership experience in the commercial real estate sector. His career has spanned literally all aspects of construction engineering, including the retail, financial, office, light industrial and most recently renewable energy environments. Mr. Fischer has led teams and complex projects across large geographic areas, and is highly skilled not only on the construction site but in the Board Room as well, where his contributions as a construction engineering executive have led to positive results in both the private and government sectors.

Mr. Fischer grew up in Lexington, KY. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech, and began his business career immediately after graduation as a Branch Manager with Professional Service Industries, Inc. In that role, he provided consulting engineering services for building construction quality control, geotechnical engineering and environmental services. During his tenure at Professional Services Industries, Mr. Fischer advanced in leadership roles and office management in San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA; and Fort Worth, TX. Also, during that period, he earned his Professional Engineering (PE) license in both Texas and Georgia.

Mr. Fischer left Professional Services Industries to pursue graduate studies on a full time basis at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. At Georgia Tech, he earned two Master of Science degrees in only two years, including diplomas for an MBA and Civil Engineering concentrating in Construction Management. He also obtained a certificate for completing the Management of Technology program and graduated with a 3.9/4.0 GPA.

Following studies at Georgia Tech, Mr. Fischer was recruited by The Hawkins Companies in Atlanta, GA where, as a Development Manager, his accountabilities included oversight of over $30 million of Class A office park developments. While with Hawkins he oversaw all aspects of development from land acquisition to turnover.

Later, at Johnson Controls, Inc., Mr. Fischer’s role in Senior Project Management encompassed consulting with Fortune 500 companies on large reengineering assignments in real estate project management and construction processes. He also managed over $27 million of interior and ground up projectsfor clients such as BP, Sun Microsystems and KeyBankthroughout the United States, including Alpharetta, GA; Naperville, IL; San Francisco, CA; Cleveland, OH; Denver, CO; and Seattle, WA.

As a result of his success in Senior Project Management, Mr. Fischer was recruited by the Trammell Crow Company, and was immediately assigned to the organization’s prestigious Bank of America account in Atlanta, GA, where he oversaw retail construction projects spanning the Southeast portfolio. Mr. Fischer advanced rapidly from Senior Project Manager to Regional Manager for this account where his responsibilities included the oversight of a $100 million annual budget of construction and project management for Bank of America’s southeast and mid-Atlantic retail real estate portfolios and project management team.

Mr. Fischer was then recruited by Mimms Enterprises for the role of Vice President – Construction and Development in Roswell, GA which included leadership of over $100 million of ground up, renovation and interior retail and warehouse projects. His accountabilities at Mimms Enterprises encompassed both personal oversight of projects as well as management of the entire construction department staff. During his tenure with Mimms Enterprises, Mr. Fischer also earned his General Contractors license in the state of Georgia, and additionally oversaw projects throughout the southeast.

In 2009, Mr. Fischer co-founded Fischer Consulting and Management, Inc. and Fischer Contractors, LLC to provide a vast array of real estate and construction services. His years of diverse experience and education have enabled him to successfully jump start these companies. He has successfully completed construction management of one of the most highly regarded schools for the education of autistic children in the world.  Furthermore, Fischer Contractors, LLC has quickly become a leader in the installation of  photovoltaic solar panels in the southeast with over 60 MW of PV installed since 2010. To further advance Fischer Contractors as a leader in solar technology, Mr. Fischer has completed continuing education of over 80 hours of solar courses with Solairgen (PV-203 and PV-211) and Mage Solar (PV Installer Prep Course). He is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer, a nationally recognized certification program for the solar industry.

Among his many interests, Mr. Fischer is an avid boater and wake boarder and is active in his community. Mr. Fischer resides in Alpharetta, GA with his wife and four children.
