Colle Josephson – VP of Business Development

Colle-Head-ShotColle Josephson is an experienced sales and marketing executive with over 16+ years of success within cutting edge technology and software companies. Mr. Josephson has progressive experience in direct sales, channel sales, business development, marketing, and management consulting. As a Sales Director he has planned, developed, and executed effective business strategies under challenging market conditions. He has also designed successful sales techniques, strategies, and tactics from customer and market understanding. Mr. Josephson’s past experience has allowed him not only to build from the ground up, but evaluate, develop and revive sales teams, managers, and directors.

Mr. Josephson was born in Louisiana, and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He earned a BS in History, from Radford University located in Radford, Virginia. After graduation, he returned to Richmond and entered the sales profession, within the telecommunications industry.

Mr. Josephson began his career in Direct, Outside Sales for Frontier, the 5th largest telecommunications company in the country. In progressing quickly through the sales ranks, he held a number of roles and responsibilities. In 1997, Colle moved to Atlanta where he has spent most of his sales career. Mr. Josephson has mostly worked for the start-up telecommunication industry from VoDSL to VOIP companies. From success in individual contributor and management roles, Mr. Josephson began to develop sales structures and processes.

As a major contributor to training, implementation, and execution of a sales framework to Cbeyond Communications, Mr. Josephson, helped turn a start up VOIP into a publically held company with 35 locations nationwide. Mr. Josephson managed regions in Texas and Georgia, which were responsible for producing $28 million in revenue. As VP of Sales, for one of the first and fastest growing VOIP providers in the country, his job included managing, developing, training, and motivating a direct sales force. It was his mission to acquire new business, through various channels or methods of distribution. He was accountable for this while keeping up with budgets and overseeing the operations group, responsible for installations for newly acquired customers.

After 6 years at Cbeyond, Mr. Josephson has held a VP of Sales role in various other small, start-up technology companies providing everything from communications to SAAS model product offerings. At QBOS, Mr. Josephson was responsible for developing and executing sales processes, models, structure, and methodology for sales channels. He built and executed an activity sales model that included solution based selling. At Deltacom, Colle was responsible for developing a program to reduce company attrition, increase revenue for account managers, and restructure the Indirect, Referral / Chamber and Association Programs. Programs were set up with 30 different markets across the SE. Mr. Josephson was responsible for 5 regional directors and 55-60 reps and partner relationships. In both positions Mr. Josephson over achieved sales metrics and was responsible for over $32 million in revenue.

Before coming to Fischer Contractors, Mr. Josephson worked for a company, MYLAPS, which internationally provides electronic timing/scoring equipment and software for motorized and active sports. As VP Americas, he held a division-wide responsibility for Profit and Loss, Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Logistics and HR Administration and reported directly to company CEO located in overseas’ headquarters in the Netherlands. By growing revenues by 6% while reducing costs by 18% each year, he was also successful in incorporating and acquiring a company for MYLAPS. He built and executed the sales structure and methodology, forecasting, and sales training.

Currently Mr. Josephson has joined Fischer Contractors to leverage his experience in company and industry environments where sense of urgency and accountability is a must. As VP of Business Development, Colle combines his passion for new technologies, ability to communicate with customers in order to drive new and long term relationships with our partners. Always leading with integrity in company processes and best practices, he has a strong ability to effectively manage relationships with an entrepreneurial mindset. In his progression to different roles, he not only has a strong understanding of sales process, but all processes that are needed to ensure a company runs effectively.

Mr. Josephson’s interests include golf, wake boarding, football, all sports, and sitting on the beach with his wife in the Florida Panhandle. Mr. Josephson’s most common activity is chasing his two boys under the age of 5. They reside in Alpharetta, GA.
